Dester Lee (Wilson) Miller

November 25, 1918 — May 21, 2017

Dester Lee (Wilson) Miller went to be with Jesus on May 21, 2017, with family by her side. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2:00 P.M. at the Livingston Church of Christ. The service will be followed by burial at Mountain View Cemetery. She was born in Wilsall on Nov. 25, 1918, to Charles Artimus Wilson and Lizzie Ethyl (Helton). She grew up and graduated from Wilsall High School. She married James Delbert Miller during the depression years, moving around in search of work, eventually settling in Livingston. They had three children: Della (Cliff) Anderson; Juanita (Larry) Hill; Gary (Nancy) Miller. She was a loving homemaker, an excellent seamstress and cook and always had room for more plates on the table. She canned vegetables from a large garden. She worked at Montgomery Wards for many years. Dester was an active member of the Livingston Church of Christ for most of her adult life. She took her turn cleaning the church into her 90s and only stopped when younger members forced her into retirement. She delivered Meals on Wheels into her 90s to the younger 70 and 80 year olds, with her sister-in-law, Jackie. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: James D. Wilson, Charles D. Wilson, and Larry A. Wilson, three sisters; Christina Wilson, Cassie Toresdahl, and Ruth Heavner. She is survived by her three children, two sisters: Bonnie (Lee) Crider and Georgia Papen, two sisters-in-law: Rose Wilson and Jackie Redelf; eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren with one more on the way. Mom will surely be missed. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Livingston.
