Betty Louise (Anderson) Coy, 83, of Gardiner, Montana passed away suddenly of natural causes on Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 at the Billings Clinic Hospital. The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 16th, at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home, 118 N. 3rd St, Livingston. A reception will follow at the Living Hope Church, 226 S. 3rd St, Livingston with graveside committal and burial to follow at Park View Memorial Gardens in Paradise Valley. Emergency Services: PO Box 307; Gardiner, MT 59030.Betty was born on August 28, 1934 in Livingston, the daughter of Arthur Alfred and Elsie Berniece (Brown) Anderson. Betty received her education in both Livingston and Gardiner. She graduated from Gardiner High School, the class of 1952. Following her graduation she worked at Callison Drug Store in Gardiner, which is where she met the love of her life, Ervin.On September 10th, 1955, Betty was united in marriage to Ervin Coy, in Livingston. They enjoyed many camping outings, fishing excursions and bird hunting trips together. Betty worked various jobs in Gardiner. She was a waitress, retail clerk and a rural mail route driver. She worked for some time at the Y.P. (Yellowstone Park) Companys gift shop warehouse. She was a member of the Womens Eagles Auxiliary in Gardiner. Betty and Ervin shared 61 years of marriage (prior to Ervins death on November 6th, 2016), residing in their home in Gardiner until moving into the Hamilton House in Bozeman on March 21st, 2016.Betty lived her life for her family. She and Ervin worked hard to provide for their four children and took pride in the family they raised. She loved her grandchildren deeply and enjoyed spending time with them.Betty is survived by her children, Doug Coy and his wife, Lynn of Gardiner, Shelby Coy of Gardiner, Lynnette Margol of White Cloud, MI and Debbie Bateson and her husband, Bruce of Gardiner. Grandchildren, Alex Coy and his wife, Chloe and Andy Coy and his wife, Mira, John Green, Jacob Bateson and Mike Margol. She would have become a great-grandmother in May!She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; parents, Art and Berniece; and her brother, Curtis; as well as, son, Joseph Arthur who died at age three months and a stillborn son. Her family takes great comfort in knowing they are all together once again.Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Livingston.
