Karol was born March 30, 1936 in the old original Lott Hospital in Livingston, MT to Dick and Inez (McPherson) Kyser.
Karol attended all Livingston schools. Although she was unable to finish her senior year, she did at the age of 40, receiving her graduation certificate from the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California.
Karol married Frank Meyer in March of 1954, they later divorced. Rick Meyer and Becky Meyer were born from this marriage.
On January 31, 1970 Karol married the “love of her life,” Bob Skillman, and from this two families became one: “Bob and Bill Skillman, Karol Kyser, Rick Meyer, and Becky Meyer.”
In 1976, the family moved to LaQuinta, CA for work, but returned home to Livingston in 1993, so Karol could take care of her dad, Richard E. Kyser.
While in California, Karol was very active in her church. She was blessed with a beautiful voice, sang in the church choir and numerous solo performances.
7 years ago, Karol had to undergo a left leg amputation, which she handled with such dignity and grace. She vowed to dance again, and she did at a legion hall dance.
Karol is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bob Skillman; 3 children, Rick Meyer, Becky Cossey and Bill Skillman; 5 grandchildren, Shawn T. Meyer, Michael L. Hutton, Jessica L. Hullman, Joseph Meyer, and Jodi Meyer; 4 great-grandchildren, Shaw Meyer, Sadie Meyer, Brooke Hutton, and Aden Hullman; her beloved great great-granddaughter, Jordyn Stickney. We are blessed to have been able to take a 5-generation photo.
Any memorials may be made to the Livingston Christian Church, which was her love, or any of their choice.
