Amy Bartlett

d. May 15, 2016

Amy Bartlett, 41, of Gardiner, Montana passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 20, 6:00 P.M. at The Chapel at Mammoth Hot Springs. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 3:00 P.M. at the Gardiner High School Gymnasium. Amy entered this world on January 26, 1975 a fighter. She was --- months premature and weighed 3lbs 4ounces. Even at birth, Amy wanted to do things on her own terms. Her parents, Kathleen and Douglas Black, were delighted to welcome a little sister for her big brother Matthew. Amy grew up traveling with her brother and parents to Yellowstone National Park from the time she was a baby. The land, mountains, waterfalls, and wildlife were always in Amy's DNA. They visited in the summer and in the winter hiking and snowmobiling every year. Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Sacramento and began her adult life and career in the one place on earth she loved the most, Yellowstone National Park. She worked for the Park in a variety of jobs ranging from a Biological Science Technician, Park Ranger, Dispatcher, Law Enforcement Ranger and Public Affairs Assistant. She married the love of her life, Jerry Bartlett, at the Chapel in Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park on July 1, 2006. It was the wedding of her dreams. She had grown up wishing to be married in the Park, in the Chapel and Amy's dream came true. She was surrounded by family and friends and it was the most glorious day. Amy and Jerry's family grew with the birth of Hayden Glen Bartlett on March 12, 2009 and Jackson James Bartlett on September 27, 2012. Amy's life revolved around her boys and her family. From the many ski trips and hikes and overnight camping adventures in Yellowstone and a particular favorite, The Caboose Train in Glacier National Park, Amy was always about adventure. And she taught many others to be adventurous and to love her beautiful home of Yellowstone National Park. Amy's artist talents were unsurpassed. Her photography, painting, sculpting, cake making and decorating skills were incomparable. Amy had an eye for beauty and loved sharing it with others. She blessed many people with her talents. Simply put, Amy gave, that is who she was. While Amy adored her boys, she had dreamed of growing her family with the hopes of a daughter. Amy was blessed to welcome Ella Faith Kathleen Bartlett on May 7, 2016. While Amy may have earned her angel wings on May 15, 2016, we are confident she knew the greatest love a mother, wife, daughter and sister can, the love of her family. Amy know peace, and know your spirit will forever be held close in our hearts. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
