Billee Metcalf

Born June 11, 1930, in Wright County, Missouri, to Roland and Ruth Griffith. The third of five children, she attended schools in Dawson, MO and Sunnyside, WA. In San Antonio, TX, she married Bruce Kollmar and they had four children; Yvonne Kollmar born at Fort Sam Houston, Ben Kollmar born at Mather Air Force Base, Kathleen Kollmar born in Sunnyside, WA, and Robert Kollmar born in Brewster, WA. Billee moved to Mount Vernon in 1965 and worked in medical offices and in communications for the Washington State Patrol. In 1980, she married George Metcalf. She is survived by four children, seven grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren. Billee attended Baptist churches all her life. She had no fear of death due to her unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ as her Redeemer, Savior, and Lord. A graveside service for Billee is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Mount Vernon, WA. Services are under the direction of Kern Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.
