Margaret was born on February 20, 1924, in Ohio in the same home where her father and grandfather had been born. She was the daughter of Dewey and Hazel (Bush) Wolf. She moved as a young girl to Casper, WY with her parents. They lived there a short time prior to her family purchasing their ranch in Mission Creek here in Livingston. Her mother was very ill when she was 5, and Margaret assumed many responsibilities of the home. She started doing ranch work from the time she was 7. She received her elementary education at a country school. She then boarded at a home here in Livingston, so she was able to attend high school and was a graduate of the Park County High School Class of 1942. On October 19, 1943 Margaret was united in marriage to Robert R. "Bob" Weimer, in Livingston. Following their marriage, Bob went off to war and Margaret did her best to follow him and find local work. When he was overseas, she returned to Livingston and worked at Miles Grocery Store, Dry Goods, and Ready to Wear as well as Spencers Ready to Wear. When Bob got out of the service, they moved from Ohio in a school bus that Bob had refurbished for living quarters. They first built a garage that they moved into, and they started Weimer Construction Company in 1946. They then quickly built a house, a larger house next door and a business shop. They lived most of their time in Livingston in that home on the East end of town. Margaret was always a partner in the business. She would often paint the houses they built. Weimer Construction Company started the Star Subdivision, and Margaret helped the surveyor and engineer lay out the home sites. The company later added Weimers Home Center where they sold appliances and home improvement products. Margaret did the Cultured Marble which was used around bathtubs and for counters but also created many cultured marble crafts. Because of her interest in art, they added Weimers Craft and Art to Weimers Home Center. Later they only sold the arts and craft products and did framing for pictures. Her artistic flare was evident weather she was helping a customer pick-out a product or if she was teaching art and crafting classes. Her heart always belonged to art. She enjoyed taking in others works and creating her own. Margarets profound love of nature complimented her artistic talents. She saw beauty in everything and even created art from recyclable waste. Once they started the Star Subdivision they built a new home there. Margaret took it upon herself to walk along Front Street and Star Road almost every day picking up trash as part of her exercise. Due to an arthritis problem that was diagnosed when she was a young girl, she took exercising very seriously. For a long time she exercised at the Firehall Fitness Center where she was the oldest member. She then exercised at the Livingston Healthcare Rehabilitation Services until she was 90. After Margaret and Bob retired, they purchased a motor-home. After Margaret had successfully completed treatment for cancer, they set off on a road trip that covered a large loop of the country. Margaret loved the Crazy Horse Sculpture in North Dakota and was a consistent proponent for fund raising. She was a Cub Scout leader, gave financial donations to many causes, and was a member of the Yellowstone Club in Livingston for more than half a century. Margaret and Bob shared 64 years of marriage. This marriage was blessed with two daughters Helen Jane and Jeanette and two sons Jerry and Jack. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Our love is always with you mom! Margaret is survived by her: Son, Jerry Weimer and his wife Nina of Livingston, MT; Daughter, Jeanette Gordon and her husband Hal of Chicago, IL. Seven, Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
