Anna MaE Oberquell, age 89, of Clyde Park, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Livingston HealthCare with her family by her side. Memorial Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 16, 11 am, at the Livingston Christian Center. MaE was born on June 23 1924, in Kearney, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Roy E. and Gertrude (Lord) Bennett. She was the 7th of 10 siblings which have now all preceded her in death. She spent her childhood in Fort Morgan, Colorado where she attended and graduated high school. On August 2, 1942, MaE was united in marriage to David E. Oberquell shortly after graduation. This marriage was blessed with five children, Dwight, Duane, Donald, Daryl and Crystal. Our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother was deeply moral, honest, and a hardworking mother, housewife and sometime breadwinner willing to share the burden of raising a family with her husband and soul-mate wherever their destiny led them. That destiny led them through good times, bad times, several different occupations and geographic locations finally residing in Valley County Montana where Mae remained for 33 years until her husbands passing. While in Valley County, she worked in ranching, farming, customer service and operated a family retail store. Mae relocated to Clyde Park, Montana in 1990 to be near her 2 sons and their families, where she has enjoyed living for the past 23 years. MaE has been an inspiration to her family encouraging them to strive for higher standards, education and economic status as her post WW II generation had done and as she has demonstrated throughout her life. Mae generated life-long friendships wherever she lived and always found the beauty in her surroundings. She loved music, flowers, humming birds, gardening and raising her family. She will be missed and her family will never forget her. MaE is survived by her: Children, Dwight Oberquell of LakePort, CA; Duane Oberquell and his wife Linda of San Jose, CA; Donald Oberquell and his wife Carol of Clyde Park, MT; Daryl Oberquell and his wife Anne of Clyde Park, MT and Crystal Anderson and her husband Ray of Wilton, CA 15 Grandchildren 18 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great Grandchild Many other relatives and friends. MaE is preceded in death by her Parents, Roy and Gertrude Bennett, Husband, David Oberquell, and 9 siblings. The family invites everyone to a luncheon at the church immediately following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
