Barbara Fanshier

July 16, 1937 — December 20, 2023

Livingston

Barbara Jean Fanshier nee Paul died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday December 20, 2023 with her family by her side.  She is survived by her daughter Nicole Reynolds, her son in law Joshua Reynolds, and son Rand Fanshier and his wife Sabra, and grandson Samuel Rowan Fanshier.  She lived a long, wonderful life.  She had a happy childhood and education and was an Alpha Chi Omega at the University of Florida (Go Gators!).  When she met Donald Roy Fanshier, her one and only true love, she was a schoolteacher with a love of sports cars.  They met at a race, fell in love, married, had two children Rand and Nicole, lived in Europe and the USA, and traveled extensively.  She adored classic films, especially musicals and the screwball comedies of the 30's and 40's.  With her deep love of ancestry and Scots/Irish history, later in life she became Chief Commissioner of the Clan McKay Society and made sure Josh wore his kilt well at her daughter's wedding.

Soon after Don passed twelve years ago, Barb relocated to Livingston, Montana to be near her daughter and son-in law.  She lived happily with them on the river until her passing.  Momcat will be missed.

Rest In Peace.
