Carolyn "Carol" Purcell

Carolyn L. Purcell, age 74, of Livingston passed away on August 24, 2023.  Carolyn was born on December 2, 1948 in Livingston, MT, the first born of Herbert and Bernice (Prevost) Wick.  At age three her family moved to the lower Laubach place where she lived for the next six years.  She attended Duck Creek School.  Her family moved back to Big Timber where she attended Big Timber Grade School and graduated from Sweet Grass High School in 1967.  She married Bruce Purcell June 4, 1967 at the Big Timber Congregational Church.  They moved to Livingston in November 1977.

Carolyn had a green thumb and loved gardening.  She was an avid reader, an accomplished seamstress who in later years turned to making quilts.  She enjoyed her grandkids.

Carolyn is survived by her children Karen Purcell of Sandpoint, Idaho and her children Jared and Tristan; Helen Morris of Logan, Montana and her children Jennifer and Starr; Bridget Purcell of Livingston and her children Casey and Mariah; and three great-grandchildren; siblings, Kathy McDonough, Mary Stuber, Minnie Douglas, Michael Wick, Iva Wick, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Bernice Wick, her husband Bruce Purcell, siblings Beverly Lee, Wilber Wick, Lois Palmer.

Services will be private.
