Christopher Allan Evans, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 24th.
Chris was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on March 18th, 1956. He lived various places around the US including the Florida Everglades before moving to Montana in 1991.
In his earlier life he worked in various jobs including motorcycle repair, painting, in a bicycle shop, on a road crew but he was most proficient as a CAD tool maker. He helped build the machine that polished the Hubble telescope lens, fabricated parts to repair the clock in the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park and made injection molds for high tech medical equipment.
A big lover of the outdoors, Chris was an avid backpacker, hunter, and accomplished fisherman. He had a way with animals and could train a dog or cat to do almost anything.
Chris and Michele were married July 1st, 2000, and planned and built their off-grid home which Chris had wanted to build and was drawing plans for since he was 18.
They started Earth, Wind and Fire, LLC, installing solar and wind systems all around Montana.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Michele, his older brother Frank, and his two sons by his first marriage to Kim, Ben (grandchildren Leann, Chase and Kassidy), and Sam (granddaughter Sparta).
A celebration of life will be held next Spring/Summer when the weather is nice.
