Clarence Edward Skillman was born December 26, 1963, in the back of the car. Those that knew him know this was the only time he arrived early to anything. He was born to Ed and Neada Skillman, the most beautiful baby boy. Clarence was raised on the family ranch in Clyde Park Montana. He graduated from Clyde Park High School in 1984. Clarence then went on to Wyo Tech where he got his degree in welding. From there he moved on to Billings and eventually went on to Harrison where he spent most of his life. He worked for several different places but finally found his true calling in life when he became a father in 1996 to Megan.
Clarence was a man a few words but he could fix just about anything he put his hands on. He was stubborn and hard-headed yet calm and peaceful. He was a big goof ball and liked to make people laugh. He was a true friend and would give the shirt off his back for his friends. He valued his family and friends so much. He loved fishing, snowmobiling, camping and many other hobbies. But the one thing he loved and cherished more than anything was his girls. He was their best friend, partner in crime and spoiled them with so much love, laughter and fun. Clarence was the best dad and papa. He was always soft spoken and safe place to rest their heads and hearts. He is and always will be one proud Papa.
Clarence spent his final years working the family Ranch. Of all the work he did in life it’s safe to say that was his favorite.
He is proceeded in death by his father Ed Skillman, brother in law Russel Bird and brother Sam Skillman and survived by his mother Neada, Uncle Bob, sisters- Linda Bird, Betty (Dennis) Long, and Roberta (Jeff) Asper, Cousins- Roger, Billy, Penny and Troy, nephews and nieces- Daniel, Rachel, Jayme, Jennifer, Shane, Andy, Corey, Brandon, Kayla and Ethan. Along with so much more extended family and friends. But most importantly he will live on through his Daughter, Megan, son-in-law, Tommy and granddaughters, Lyla and Kimber.
You’ll always be our special papa.
