Dale D. Siegle

It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of our father, Dale Duane Siegle. Dale left us on August 20, 2026, in Livingston, Montana. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Nancy Goodpaster Siegle, as well as three siblings, close family members, and dear friends. He is survived by his two daughters, Amber and Andi Siegle, alongside his three grandchildren and great granddaughter, as well as many dear friends and family members.

Dale loved spending time with his family and was a true Montanan through and through. Born in Glendive, Montana, he attended Dawson Community College, where he met Nancy. The two were wed, and their daughters were born shortly after. In 1979, the family settled in Livingston, building a beautiful life nestled in the Rocky Mountains.

An avid outdoorsman, Dale cherished hunting, fishing, and embarking on Montana adventures with his family. Whether he was spending time on the Yellowstone River or relaxing on the beaches of Hawaii, Dale was always most at home on the water. His passion for fly fishing led him to establish Blue Ribbon Fishing Tours, where he served as a dedicated outfitter for many years. Professionally, Dale also took great pride in his work as the manager of both the Livingston and Bozeman Job Service offices.

He was deeply involved in the Livingston community, and the ripple effects of his kindness and contributions will be felt for many years to come. Dale was always willing to lend a helping hand and was always quick with a smile or a joke. He was a goofy, warm, and genuinely welcoming man who had a rare gift for making everyone feel at home. Dale's kind heart, big personality, and trademark mustache will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, Dale requested that donations be made to the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center (YERC). Contributions will support young people learning about land, water, and wildlife stewardship across the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem through community-based conservation.

We know that Dale’s lovable and caring spirit will live on in everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
