Delton k. Busby

Delton K. Busby, 64, of Livingston passed away Monday, June 21, 2021. Some are born a cowboy, and some are not, Delton Busby was definitely born to be a cowboy. He always said he was born 100 years too late. Delton K. Busby was born August 8, 1956, to Leslie and Benna Busby of Pray, Montana. Delton was raised alongside his older brother Dexter Busby on the family ranch. Delton had an adventurous attitude with life. In 1980 he married Patty Norman and she blessed him with two daughters, Rebecca and Molly. They also were raised on the family ranch and instilled with their dads love and care for animals. There was never an animal or friend he wouldn't help. Some of his greatest memories were teaching his daughters about life, riding Emigrant Peak, guiding hunters, hunting with his daughters, brother Dexter, nephews, Les and Jon, weekly team roping with his friends and neighbors. A few years ago, he met his love and best friend Amanda, and they shared many laughs, tears, memories, and adventures together. He is survived by his partner, Amanda Bjelland; daughters, Rebecca (Jake) Pinson; grandkids, Benna and Clansey of Clyde Park; Molly (CJ) Thornberg; grandkids, Dawson and Dillon of Forsyth; older brother, Dexter (Colleen) Busby of Great Falls; nephews and nieces, Leslie (Mary) Busby of Denver, CO, Erin (Tony) Houtz of Great Falls, Jonathan (Nicole) Busby of Helena; great-nieces and great-nephews; he had a great love for Amanda's grandchildren, Austin and Kyla Stieg, and many loved friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Benna Busby; brother, Terry Busby.The Lord rides in front of all of us. He ain't gonna lope off and leave us stranded. So quit your whining, take a deep seat and ride.
