She received her education in Livingston and attended Park High School, class of 1953. She continued her education at Casper Junior College and Montana State University. On November 23, 1952, Evelyn was united in marriage to Franklin Baker with a civil ceremony in Helena, Montana. This marriage was blessed with three children: John David, Aileen Bernice, and Steven Douglas. Evelyn and Frank lived an interesting and resilient life together. They later retired to Bozeman, Montana and wintered in Sun City West in Arizona. They shared over 60 years of marriage. Evelyn was the "rock" of the family; she was a first class mother and a number one grandmother. She was an intelligent woman who spent time volunteering as a Librarian at the School of Mines in Butte and also spent several years as an advertising manager for the Martinizing Association in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. As she and Frank traveled the world they were able to vacation throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia. Evelyn was artistic in nature and had an extremely keen eye for the most beautiful artwork. She spent years collecting many pieces from all over. Those collections now so elegantly decorate Evelyn and Frank's home in Bozeman. Evelyn also created art, Batik Design, which is cloth that is traditionally made using a manual wax-resist dyeing technique, also decorate her home. Evelyn especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends. Evelyn passed away on May 7th, 2013 at her home with her family by her side at the age of 77 years.
