Helen Sue Dassinger

Helen Susana Dassinger, age 93, of Livingston, died Friday, November 22, 2013 at Livingston HealthCare following a short illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 26, 11 A.M., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Livingston. Vigil Prayer Service will be Monday at St Mary's 7 P.M. Final Resting Place is Calvary Cemetery, Livingston. Fellowship will follow the interment at St. Mary's School gymnasium. Helen was born on January 15, 1920, in Chicago, IL. She was born the daughter of the Adam and Susana Schmidt family and adopted by John and Margaret (Schneider) Reiner. Helen was baptized, confirmed and received her education at St. Elizabeth's in Lefor, ND. On September 26, 1945, Helen was united in marriage to Lawrence F. Dassinger, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Lefor. This marriage was blessed with four children, Sharon, Larry, Margaret and Julie. Helen and Lawrence resided in Dickenson and Mott, ND; Glendive and Forsyth, MT before settling in Livingston. They shared 37 years of marriage. Helen was a hard working devoted homemaker, wife and mother. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and served the community with the Catholic Daughters always contributing. Helen enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, tending to her house plants and picture puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Blessed be her memory. Helen is survived by her: Daughters, Sharon Camp and her husband Dan of Billings, MT, Margaret Morrison and her husband Terry of Bozeman, MT and Julie Hogg and her husband Al of Livingston, MT. Daughter-in-law, Virginia Estes of Livingston, MT. Grandchildren, Michelle Morgan and her husband Mike, Chuck Price, Toby Morrison and his wife Amanda, Wade Estes, Stacy Hogg, Nikki Morrison, Robert Hogg and his wife Melissa and Lance Morrison. 11 Great-grandchildren. Sister, Luella Krebs of Dickenson, ND. Sister-in-law Lorraine Schauder of Chicago, IL and many other relatives and friends. Helen is preceded in death by her Birth Parents, Adam and Susana Schmidt, Adoptive Parents, John and Margaret Reiner, Husband, Lawrence Dassinger, Son, Larry Dassinger, Siblings, Adam, Pete, John, Julia Schmidt and Frank Schauder. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
