On Wednesday, November 19, 2025 Landon Cole Larkin, 15, of Livingston, MT took his own life and went to be with God.
Landon was gifted to Kevin and Jane Larkin on June 30, 2010 at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, Bozeman MT. God chose us to care for and love Landon until his plan was in place.
Landon was a bright, energetic young man whose laughter and spirit could fill any room. Landon loved deeply and lived boldly. He was always up for an adventure and no stranger to a challenge. Landon covered so much ground in life with passions for dirt biking, horseback riding, snowboarding, bowling, hunting, fishing, & dancing with his cousin, Emmy, helping out with chores on the ranch and so many more. Landon’s love for football and soccer provided him with an understanding of being a team player and how to accept defeat. No matter when he was out of site he came back with a new friend and his award-winning smile! Landon, you always made us so proud! Life comes with no expiration date, your faith in God shines so bright to guide us home with you when our plan is set in place.
We will miss all the road trips from rodeos, parades, soccer, and football games. You loved making people laugh, your gorgeous blue eyes and long eyelashes will forever be etched in our hearts. Your voice is silent to us now and our hearts are broken, however we know you are in peace now with your mac n cheese drowned in Ketchup listening to your music you so loved. We will feel your presence with us each day we live, I know you will be helping during cattle round ups, brandings, and your favorite past time calving out the cows. As each calf is born and each hayfield grows, I know you will be with us.
Landon valued his family in every way possible. He was so proud to say he was part of the 7th generation to be raised in Park County. He loved the family ranch he explored, worked, made memories with his brothers and cousins and lived on.
Landon is survived by his devoted parents, Kevin and Jane (Wynne) Larkin; beloved brothers, Cody (16) and McKennon (14); Grandma, Lela Larkin; Aunts and Uncles, Dan Larkin, Tim (Becka) Larkin and their son Tristan Larkin (Serving in the US Navy), all of the family ranch in Livingston, MT., Ron (Debbie) Wynne and their children Kelly Cecil, (fiancé Michael Vitale and Kelly’s daughter Amelia), Sean Wynne, Mary (David) Wynne-Peaspanen and their daughter Bethanie (Kris) Cox their children Rory and Raelyn, Daniel (Cindy) Wynne and their children Ryan and Lisa Wynne, Eileen (Kenny) Booth, John (Dana) Wynne and his children Amanda (Salem Alshimmari) and Jacob Wynne, all from Ohio; Great Aunt, Lala Mathias and families of Livingston Mt. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Best friend, Kyler Boese, and close friends, Mason Calhoon, Vann Brandon, Wayde Lee, and Bryce Townsend. Landon had a very special and close friendship with his cousin Emmy Oberly. Landon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jim Larkin, maternal grandparents, Ronald D. and Aurelie Wynne and an aunt, Kathleen Wynne.
Suicide is a true silence held by one who is suffering in life. Never be afraid to hug your loved ones and tell them they are loved! Our lives are books written as we live, chapter by chapter we grow and learn and at some point our book is completed and as much as we would like, we are not able to start over. So make each day count and reach out for help.
Rest in peace our precious son and brother, our hearts are forever broken, but in time, we will be strong in the broken places.
In lieu of flowers a donation or volunteer work can be made to Stafford Animal Shelter, 3 Business Park Rd, Livingston Mt. 59047 in Landon’s name. He loved to visit the shelter and had a deep love for all animals.
A celebration of Landon’s life will take place on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Livingston Christian Center.
