Larry Dean Hildebrandt of Livingston, Montana, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026 at the age of 79. 

He was born on November 9, 1946 to Herb and Faye Hildebrandt in Watertown, South Dakota. After graduating from Clear Lake High School, he joined the South Dakota National Guard and went to work for Deuel County Telephone, then Mountain Bell, Qwest and CenturyLink. 

He married Linda Rochelle Swenson in 1968, and they shared 49 years before she passed. Larry married Nonie McDonnell in 2020, and they shared 6 years together. 

Larry was an avid hunter and ice fisherman, and loved camping, rock hounding, golf, traveling to see the wild horses in Wyoming, and seeing the ocean in California. He also enjoyed a variety of church activities as well as his participation in the Meals on Wheels program. 

He loved his grand and great grandkids tremendously and took pleasure in watching them grow and pursue their passions. He was known for being a kind, gentle, strong, hardworking man with a humble spirit. 

He is survived by his wife Nonie, son Stacey (Katie) Hildebrandt, daughter Dena Hildebrandt, granddaughter Paige Hildebrandt, granddaughter Sara (Sawyer) Hildebrandt-Edmister, great granddaughter Leyla Borekci, stepson Danny Morley and numerous McDonnell family members. 

A service will be held at American Lutheran Church in Livingston, Montana on March 21st at 10:30 am, followed by a reception afterward. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stafford Animal Shelter.

The service will be recorded and will be posted to this site shortly after the service.
