Lois Eileen (Schulz) Richardson

December 10, 1936 — January 19, 2014

Lois Eileen (Schulz) Richardson, age 77, of Livingston, passed away peacefully Sunday, January, 19, 2014 at her home with her family by her side after a courageous six year battle against cancer. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 25, 1 P.M., at the Franzen-Davis Chapel in Livingston with the Reverend Rich O'Brian officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston. Fellowship and luncheon will follow the interment at the Livingston Senior Center. Memorials are preferred to: Livingston HealthCare Hospice, 504 S. 13th Street; Livingston, MT 59047 or the Park County Senior Center, 206 South Main Street; Livingston, Montana 59047. Lois was born on December 10, 1936, in Beach, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Edgar and June (Sommerfelt) Schulz. Lois was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth. Lois and her family moved to Williston ND at a young age and she attended school through the 5th grade there. They then moved to Montana where she began 6th, 7th, and 8th grades at the Pine Creek School. She received her High School education in Livingston and was a graduate of the Park High School Class of 1954. Following graduation Lois moved to Livingston and started work as a dish washer soon moving up to be a waitress. On January 28, 1961, Lois was united in marriage to Dick Dean Richardson, at the Pine Creek Methodist Church in Paradise Valley, Montana. This marriage was blessed with 3 children, Carla, Marsha and Michael. Lois was employed at the Lazy BZ, Martins and the Elks as Waitress. Lois was a member of First Baptist Church and Park County Senior Center both in Livingston. Lois enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. She loved to take road trips, the one time that she flew her and Dick traveled to Alaska. She will be eternally remembered for her huge heart and for the being an excellent example to her children with her extremely strong work ethic. Blessed be her memory. Lois is survived by her: Children, Carla Fenton and her husband, David of Livingston, MT, Marsha Lawson and her husband, Donn of Tracy, MT and Michael Richardson of Anchorage, AK. Grandchildren, Nicole Fenton and Jason Fenton both of Livingston, MT; Ashlee Lawson of Tracy, MT; Olivia and Lauren Richardson both of Anchorage, AK. Great-grandchildren, Camden Fenton and Kaden Fenton. Sisters and Brother-in-law, Elizabeth Henkel of Billings, MT and Judy Hallam and her husband, Frank of Laramie, WY. Nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Lois is preceded in death by her Parents, Edgar and June Schulz, Husband, Dick Richardson, Brother, Lloyd Schulz and Infant Siblings, Dale and Delane. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
