Lori A. Jaschek

March 14, 1967 — July 8, 2024

Livingston

Lori Ann Jaschek (Shuyler), age 57 of Livingston Montana passed away on July 8th 2024 at the Pioneer Medical Center in Big Timber MT. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Lori was born on March 14, 1967 to William and Cleola (Gorsage) Shuyler in Big Timber. The family moved to Livingston in 1972 and where she attended school until she graduated from Park High in 1985.

After high school, Lori gave birth to her first son, Michael. Lori met and married James Jaschek in 1992 and moved to Wisconsin. She moved back to Montana when he passed away in 1993.

Lori held various jobs as a cook and housekeeper and nurse's aide in Livingston and Harlowton, MT. She was a hard worker and really enjoyed her role as an aid in Harlowton. She moved back to Livingston in 2000, and in true Lori fashion, did the best she could with what she had and raised her children. Lori worked for a short time at Livingston Healthcare before her COPD diagnosis prevented her from working any longer. Her health was failing for quite a few years and began chemo for stage 4 colon cancer but had to discontinue treatment when she fell and broke her leg in January.

Lori was a talented artist. She loved to draw, paint, crochet and sew. She spent a great deal of time crocheting, creating afghans for her family and friends. She loved babies and kittens, pretty clothes and jewelry. Lori always loved holidays, preparing special meals and decorating. She especially loved her children and family and friends. Lori was a beautiful soul and anyone who came across her path was blessed with love and kindness. She missed watching her disabled daughter, Markayla, grow up but was at peace knowing she is taken care of.

Lori was a great caretaker, taking care of her mother until she passed away in 2012 and her husband Biff Minnick in 2018.

Lori is survived by her sons, Michael Shuyler and Charles Minnick of Livingston, Geoffrey Wombolt and his girlfriend Emily of Bozeman and daughter Markayla Indreland. Sister,Sheri (Tom) Queen of Clyde Park and sister-in-law, Francine Minnick of Livingston. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Who all loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Cleola, her son Brent Indreland, her brother J.C Clark, and her husband’s Jim Jaschek and Sherwood (Biff) Minnick.

The family would like to thank Lori’s friend, Carol Stern. You were such a great friend to Lori and we greatly appreciate your kindness, generosity and visits with Lori in the hospital.

Thank you to the LHC outpatient infusion nurses and the Pioneer Medical Center staff for taking great care of her these last months.

Lori’s celebration of life for family and friends will be determined at a later date.
