M. Irene (Frederick) Kirscher

May 26, 1922 — March 12, 2015

Myrtle Irene Kirscher, 92, of Clyde Park, was called home to her Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Bozeman. At Irenes request no funeral services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held this spring at the Shields Valley Bible Church in Clyde Park. The family suggests that donations in Irenes name be made to the Shields Valley High School or your local Hospice. Irene was born May 26, 1922 in Clyde Park, to William and Susie (Adams) Frederick. She graduated from Clyde Park High School in 1941. While young she worked many odd jobs in the summers and right out of high school went to work for the Government War Project, where they mined, packaged and shipped calcite for bomb sites during World War II. Irene married Wallace Beekman May 18, 1946 in Livingston. They made their home in Clyde Park, raising two daughters, Becky and Brenda. Wallace passed away September 1, 1972. Irene later married Clarence Kirscher in 1979. Irene began working for the post office as a part time postal clerk in 1960. She worked her way up until 1979 when she was named postmaster of the Clyde Park post office. She retired in 1982 after 21 years of service. Irene loved to travel, visiting many exciting places and especially loved her cruises with her sister Elsie, and her motorcycle trips all over the state of Montana. Irene will fondly be remembered by her family for her keen fashion sense. She loved fishing and boating on Canyon Ferry Lake, snowmobiling, sewing, growing her roses, dancing and above all she loved her family. Survivors include her daughters Becky (David) Amunrud of Clyde Park, Brenda (John) Shorthill of Everson, WA; grandchildren Troy (Anna) Amunrud, Derrick (Brandi) Amunrud of Clyde Park, Sasha (Adrain) Broduer of Bellingham, WA and Jake (Holli) Shorthill of Snohomish, WA; 5 great grandchildren; brother William (Beverly) Frederick of Helena, sister-in-law Annabelle Frederick of Clyde Park and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her Parents, Sisters Thelma Terry, Mamie Speith, Elsie Logan and Grace Mongar; Brother Lester Frederick and both husbands. Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Livingston.
