She was raised in Livingston and was a graduate of the Park County High School class of 1955. In 1954 Margie was the Lady in waiting for the Farmers Frolic.Following school she worked various jobs at Travers Pharmacy and JcPenneys in Livingston. She then met the love of her life, Charles Richard Scott. On October 10th, 1959 she and Richard were united in marriage in Bozeman, Montana. Margie then made the transition from city girl to ranch wife with the patient assistance of her mother-in-law, Jennie. Instead of selling dresses downtown she was now working cattle, tending a large garden and helping raise chickens. She and Richard worked his familys ranch and assumed the total operation in 1965 upon Richards fathers death. They continued raising grain, cattle and hogs with Margie always tending to her large garden. She and Richard took many trips with their motor-home touring Montana, Canada, making several trips to Jackpot, NV and Deadwood, SD. She and Richard also followed their sons stock car racing endeavors; this lead to a love of NASCAR which Margie has continued to revel in. In 1993 they sold the ranch and moved two miles south of Clyde Park, on Aspen Lane. Margie had always lived a simple life and when they moved, she got a brand new home. She was so grateful for her little piece of heaven; we too are thankful she was able to be there until her dying day.Margie was a member of the Brackett Creek Womans Club, when they had the ranch, and also TOPS club, which is similar to Weight Watchers. We will remember her for her love of holidays, especially Christmas. Each holiday was celebrated in light at Margies house. Different lights and decorations adorned her home and yard and when Christmas came to town she went all out. She would also make the grand-kids feel so loved and thought of with a card sent to them on almost every holiday. She always enjoyed and caring for her home, yard and gardens and did such a lovely job of it too.Margie was a woman who enjoyed the little things but she loved so big and had a deep pride in her family and particularly her grandchildren. She will be forever missed and loved.Margie is survived by her children, son, Charles Robert Scott and his wife, Merci of Belgrade, son, Donald E. Scott and his wife, Lori of Clyde Park.
