Marlene A. Parker

April 2, 1946 — September 22, 2025

Livingston

Marlene Ann Parker (née Ayers), age 79, passed away at Livingston HealthCare on Monday, September 22, 2025, after a brief illness. She drifted away peacefully with family by her side. Marlene will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and friend.

A Livingston native, Marlene was born on April 2, 1946, to Joy Adams and Clarence Ayers in their family home on the corner of Geyser and E Street. Always a nurturing soul, she spent much of her life caring for others—whether it was the residents at her Grandmother Ayers’s nursing home, her younger siblings, her own children and grandchildren, or the many elderly patients and friends she felt privileged to know through the Livingston Convalescent Center and the greater Livingston community.

Marlene married Fred Parker on November 15, 1974. Together, they provided a loving home for their four children: Mick, Chris, Jen, and Terry. They enjoyed many years of quiet breakfasts at their family table, afternoons on their back deck, and weekends camping at Newlan Creek Reservoir. In her own time, Marlene was an avid reader, quilter, and jigsaw puzzle enthusiast. She could typically be found enjoying one of her favorite pastimes with at least one adoring dog and a Pepsi by her side.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Fred Parker of Livingston; sons, Mick Stockwell (Kari) of Mountain Home, ID, Chris Stockwell (Liz) of Santa Clarita, CA, and Terry Parker of Livingston; as well as 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Terry and Rich Ayers; her sister, Tina Ingram; and her daughter, Jennifer Relaford.

Honoring Marlene’s wishes, no services will be held.  Donations may be made in her memory to Stafford Animal Shelter in Livingston.
