Matthew Michael Marquardt, of Livingston, Montana, formerly of Michigan, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025. He was 27 years old.
Matthew Michael was born on February 14, 1998, in South Lyon, Michigan to Deborah (Manson) and Michael Marquardt. He was a 2020 graduate of Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.
Matthew married Cambri (Ostola) Marquardt on June 25, 2022, in Big Sky, Montana. They were blessed with their daughter Callan Ann on May 18, 2024. In September of 2024 the family moved to Livingston, Montana, fulfilling a dream Matthew always had for his family.
The mountains of Montana called Matthew to make yearly visits all through his years of school. He also enjoyed restoring his ’79 Bronco during his school years He enjoyed the outdoors in Montana and everything it had to offer such as hiking, hunting, fishing and most of all exploring and adventuring.
Survivors include his wife, Cambri and daughter, Callan Ann, both of Livingston, MT; his parents, Deborah and Michael Marquardt, of South Lyon, MI; two sisters, Sarah (Andrew) Kruse, of Whitmore Lake, MI and Kayla (Ken) Kalish of South Lyon, MI; Paternal Grandparents, Rita and Eugene Marquardt, of South Lyon, MI; Mother and Father-in-law, Rochelle and Dan Ostola, of Michigamme, MI; Sister-in-Laws: Christa (Matt) Hertel, of Ishpeming, MI and Cayla (Jake) Gendron, of Norway, MI; Brother-in-law, Daniel (Natalie) Ostola of Ishpeming, MI. Matthew is further survived by three nieces and six nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elsie and Jim Manson; and brother-in-law, Eric Ostola.
A Funeral Mass will be held on August 22, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in South Lyon, Michigan. A luncheon will be served following the service.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Ostola Residence, 17717 Holli Blue Road, Champion, Michigan 49814.
