Michael Mohan

Michael Joseph Mohan passed away on September 15, 2023. He was born on February 18, 1960, in St. Louis, MO, to parents James and Helen Mohan. Michael is survived by his children: Michael Mohan Jr., Shea Mohan, and Grey Mohan. He was preceded in death by his sister Regina and is survived by his siblings Jim, Sean, Mary, and Kathleen Mohan.

Michael began his education at Christ the King Catholic School, and he graduated from St. Louis University High in 1978. He achieved a B.S. in Engineering Management from Missouri S&T in ’83 and an MBA from Pepperdine University in ‘86. Later in life, Michael pursued his passion for film and photography, earning a certificate in Playwriting and Screenwriting from The New School in 2011 and a B.A. in Film and Photography Studies from Montana State University in 2015.

In his professional career, Michael worked at Motorola Semiconductor, Maxim Integrated Products, and founded Silicon MAGIKE. He was also a valued member of the Academy at Missouri S&T. In 2012, he retired to Paradise Valley, Montana, a place he held dear for its natural beauty. Here, he indulged in his love for fishing, photography, and drones. He was a proud member of the Yellowstone Foundation.

Celebration of Life:  

A celebration of life will be held on October 28, 2023, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Drury Inn/Bartolino's Osteria, 2103 Sulphur Ave, St. Louis, MO 63139.

Mike loved being the life of the party and enjoyed being with his friends and family. We would like to take some time to remember him and his life.

The event will go on from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., sometime around 2:00 p.m. we will open it up for anyone who would like to share a story or a memory about Mike.
