Natalie (Glotch) Jenkins

February 8, 1932 — October 21, 2022

Livingston

Natalie (Glotch) Jenkins passed away peacefully on October 21, 2022.  She was a remarkable wife and mother, an incredible businesswoman, friend and volunteer in her community.  If Natalie was involved in any project whether it was baking with her grandchildren, remodeling the Depot in Livingston or reroofing St. Mary’s Catholic church, it was sure to be a success.

Natalie was born on Feb. 8, 1932, in Roundup, MT to John and Anna Glotch (Stupich). She was salutatorian of her high school class.  She learned the art of cake decorating working at a local bakery and perfected her booking skills working for the local car dealership.  In December 1950 she married her high school sweetheart, Bob.  During their marriage they lived in Roundup, Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, Glendive, Great Falls and from 1961 on, made their home in Livingston.  Natalie worked as a bookkeeper for the Livingston Enterprise before she and Bob started their own business, Tri-State Builders.  Shortly thereafter, they formed Century Warehousing and operated both businesses for many years.  They were tremendous business partners.

Natalie was active in numerous community groups including PEO Chapter P, St. Mary’s Catholic Church and their Finance Council, and several bridge groups.  Natalie loved her community and worked on numerous projects including renovating the Livingston Depot.  Not all her efforts came to fruition, such as the restoration of Fleshman Creek and building a community indoor swimming pool, but she gave it her all.  She was a hard worker and would go toe to toe, in her polite way, with anyone who was not doing what she felt they should.  Natalie overcame many adversities in her life including being a cancer survivor.

Her family adored her and will always be grateful for the multitude of things she taught them, including how to find the humor and joy in the simplest things.  Natalie is survived by her daughters Pamela Swanes and Robin Struyvenberg (Peter), six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert (Bob), her son Robert John, her son-in-law, John, her sister, Ruth Gourley, and her mother and father.
