Nita Joan Charly (Wood) Mitchell

Charly Mitchell, 57, of Livingston, Montana passed away peacefully on Friday, October 19th, 2018 at the Livingston HealthCare Hospital with her family at her side. Cremation has taken place and a gathering and celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 9th, at 4:00 P.M. at the Livingston Elks Lodge, 130 S 2nd St.Nita Joan 'Charly' (Wood) was born on November 29, 1960 in Omak, WA the third child of Daniel and Rita (Erickson) Wood. At age four the family relocated to the West Boulder. She attended Gordon country school with the three best classmates, her siblings. Charly was a 1978 Park County High graduate.She married Ed Mitchell, they worked ranches and spent 30 years together. They later separated. She lived in Livingston most her life and loved it here so much.We are losing a lovely soul and we want to express how much of a loving, fun and positive person Charly was to be around. She loved with all her heart, adored her children and was a friend to everyone. She loved animals and they loved her back. Her concern always was for others, she was a proud grandma and aunt, she babysat every chance she had.Charly, know how loved you are, we are grateful for the memories, and we are blessed to know you are at peace.Charly is survived by her children, son, Jory (Teri) Mitchell and daughter, Cody Hayden Mitchell (Billy Montez), their daughter and Charlys granddaughter, Hayden Ann; father, Dan (Bonnie) Wood; siblings, Lisa Woldstad, Tina (John) Mitchell, Tyson (Wendy) Wood; her best friend and lifelong partner in crime, Penny Willyerd, thank you Penny for always being there for her. As well as, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita; a niece, Smokie Mitchell, nephew, David Woldstad, maternal grandparents, Warner and Marge Erickson and paternal grandparents, Tyson and Gertrude Wood.Memorials are appreciated to the Charly Mitchell Memorial Fund at Bank of the Rockies, 1203 West Park, Livingston, MT, 59047.Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
