Pearl May Rodgers Spooner 74 of Laurel passed away February 3, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 21, 1950, in Miles City to Orville R Rodgers and Vera L (Moran) Rodgers.
She was the fourth child of six children. She is part of the class 1969 at Park County High School.
She married the love of her life James Spooner on June 28th, 1969. From that union they had three children; Brent Spooner, Jackie Spooner of Laurel and Tracy (Mike) Cole of Billings and later had two grandchildren Jade Spooner and Stetson Spooner of Laurel.
In her younger years she worked odd job. In 1992 she became a bus driver for Laurel Public Schools. In January of 2002 she started to drive for Powder River in Gillette WY until Powder River moved to Montana for the mine. She also drove for the Laurel Dodgers, Billings Outlaws and Billings Mustangs.
After she retired, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and also enjoyed watching high school sports in Laurel.
She is preceded in death by her parents Orville and Vera, her husband James, her brothers Dick Rodgers, Jimmy Rodgers, her two sisters JoAnn Johnson and Judy Rodgers.
Pearl is survived by a brother Dave Rodgers of Arizona. In laws Marlene Rodgers of Idaho, John and Gracie Printz of Livingston, Barb Spooner of Helena, and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service is May 10th, 2025, at 11 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Laurel, MT. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Parkview Cemetery in Livingston.
