Sharon Lea (Robinson) Keefer

July 6, 1941 — March 14, 2014

Sharon Lea Keefer, 72, of Clyde Park, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at home with her family at her side. A viewing will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at Franzen-Davis Chapel from 3-6 P.M. Cremation will take place following the viewing. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, March 18, at Shields Valley United Methodist Church in Clyde Park with Pastor David Barnhart officiating. Fellowship will follow the service at the Clyde Park Community Center. Memorials are preferred to Livingston HealthCare Hospice or Shields Valley Booster Club. Sharon was born on July 6, 1941 in Livingston, Montana. She was the daughter of Charlie and Francis (Shellhammer) Robinson. She received her education in Clyde Park, Sedan and Wilsall and was a graduate of Wilsall High School Class of 1959. Sharon attended a year at the Denver Womens College of Business. On November 27, 1960 Sharon was united in marriage to Phillip Ray "Slim" Keefer, in Livingston. They moved to their home and ranch to Rock Creek in 1962 where they raised their four daughters; Shawnna, Tami, Shelley and Tara. They shared 47 years of marriage. Sharon spent long hours doing what ranch wives do: baling hay, sorting cattle and cooking wonderful meals, not only for her family but for the many hunters and guests who visited the ranch throughout the years. Meals always included fresh and canned goods from Sharons large and successful vegetable gardens. Her yard was always overflowing with beautiful flowers and was enjoyed by everyone who visited. She will be remembered for her excellent pies and famous popcorn cakes. Sharon enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, quilting and watching sports. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by many. Sharon is survived by her: Mother, Francis Robinson of Wilsall. 4 Daughters, Shawnna (Bill) Pope of Redding, CA, Tami Keefer of Clyde Park, Shelley Wilkey of Weippe, ID, and Tara (Aaron) Jenkins of Clyde Park, MT. Grandchildren, Chad (Leslie) Pope, Ashley Pope, Ryan (Amanda Thomas) Wilkey, Kylie (Gary) Hilman, Tristen, Aidan and Jaeli Jenkins. Great-Grandchildren, Weston Pope , Candice Pope, Cynch Hilman. Brother, Russ (Cheryl) Robinson of Wilsall. Sister, Shirley (Gerald) Olson of Wilsall. Numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Robinson and her husband, Ray "Slim" Keefer. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. .
