Sharon A. Punke

February 18, 1946 — June 2, 2025

Livingston

Sharon A. (Robino) Punke passed away peacefully at her home in Livingston, Montana on the evening of June 2, 2025, at the age of 79.

Born in New Orleans on February 18, 1946, Sharon was the daughter of Mary Juanita Rose and Maurice Michael Robino. From an early age, she radiated charm, beauty, a love for animals, plants, laughter, and the beautifully unexpected. She carried those qualities with her throughout her life.

Sharon is survived by her daughter Galynne G. Riggenbach (Mark), son Anthony M. Ciaccio (Jennifer), and her grandchildren: Karl Kieser, Nate Kieser, Whitney Kieser (Jason), Logan Goodwill, Kristina Ciaccio, Nicholas Ciaccio, AJ Ciaccio, and Drew Ciaccio. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Robino, and her husband, Robert Punke.

She lived many colorful chapters. In Illinois, she was a legendary bar owner/bartender—renowned not just for her cocktails, but for her quick wit, wisdom, and ability to connect with anyone. Later, in Montana, she found a second career at Bob Boyd Trucking, where her charisma continued to shine.

Her passions ran deep. Her home, curated with care and filled with exotic plants & oriental art, was a reflection of her love for beauty. A lifelong animal lover, she doted on her beloved cats, Nicky, Tuffy, Boo and the whiskers who came before them. She was also a proud and decorated bowler, with many accolades from the Illinois Women’s Bowling Association.

Sharon lived with courage, facing COPD for nearly 18 years without letting it dim her spirit. Her sharp humor, vibrant energy, and youthful nature remained intact and was admired by all who loved her.

Though there will be no formal service, friends and family are invited to share memories and tributes on the funeral home website.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to her neighbors Sandy Williams and Terri Eddy for their never-ending support, to Lillian Slater for her daily visits and loving care for Sharon (and the kitties), to Anita Westgeest from HRDC for her meaningful companionship, and to Livingston Home Hospice for their compassion during Sharon’s final days.

Sharon leaves behind a legacy of laughter, resilience, and love. She will be deeply missed—and fondly remembered with a smile.

Franzen-Davis Funeral Home has been honored to care for Sharon and her family.
