Stanley W. Adams was born September 1, 1945 to Wayne M. and Jennie Frelich Adams in Livingston, Montana. Stan was raised in Livingston and graduated from Park County High in 1963.
Stan joined the Army in 1965. He met his wife Bobbi in 1969, they were married in April of 1971. They moved to Havre, Montana in 1989 after the Burlington Northern Railroad closed the shops in Livingston. He retired in 2005 and returned to Livingston. Stan was very proud to have received an award for having a clean safety record for his 42 years with the railroad.
Stan was an avid elk hunter and a guide for 44 years, loved the outdoors and the challenges of hunting elk. He had friends from one end of the country to the other that he guided over the years.
He loved to ride horses, pack mules and head to the mountains. He enjoyed PBR (bull riding) and rodeos. Stan was President of the Livingston Roundup for 3 years and was a lifetime member. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Stan enjoyed camping, hiking and riding his bike. He belonged to the Helena Bicycle Club and rode in their Century Mile Ride and the Double Divide Ride. For several years he averaged 1,000 to 1,500 miles a summer. He loved to travel whenever he could.
He enjoyed his home, spending time with Bobbi, his son Steve, daughter-in-law Patty and grandchildren Lucas and Lorelai.
Stan is survived by his wife, Bobbi; son, Steve; daughter-in-law, Patty; grandson, Lucas; granddaughter, Lorelai and brother, Randy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennie; father, Wayne; sister, Lee and brother, Rich.
Funeral Services will be held at the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday April 22nd at 11:00 AM followed by interment in Mountain View Cemetery. A reception will be held at the American Legion following the interment.
