Tahirih R. Crook

Tahirih Crook was born in Anchorage, Alaska on February 2, 1954. Of Athabascan Indian heritage, she was adopted at age 6 by John and Beverly Kolstoe. She passed away in her apartment in Livingston on Friday, October 25, 2013 at the age of 59. Tahirih lived in Alaska until 1978 when she moved to Redlands, California with her husband, Stanley Crook and their infant son, Troy. While in California, she worked as a cartographer a" drawing elevation lines on maps a" until incapacitated by a stroke in 1995. She remained in California until the death of her son, Troy. In 2009 She moved to Livingston, to be near her father, John Kolstoe. Her smiling face was often seen as she walked around town where she was known for her friendliness and outgoing personality. She was preceded in death by Troy, and her mother, Beverly Kolstoe. She is survived by two daughters a" Raven Zanona, of Henderson, NV and Tamara Crook, of Mentone, CA a" four grandchildren; two brothers a" Karl Kolstoe and Brent Kolstoe; a sister a" Lynn Kolstoe-Schinn; and her father, John Kolstoe, of Livingston. A BahA'A Funeral Service will be held at the Frazen-Davis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 2, at 1 pm, followed by interment at the Mountain View Cemetery.
