William Tod Christensen

William Tod Christensen, 43, of Livingston, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at his home. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, July 12th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Club on Main Street in Bozeman. Tod was born on September 9, 1970, in Bozeman, MT. He was the son of Bill Christensen and Sue Halvorson Stewart. He received his education in Bozeman and was a graduate of the Bozeman High School. On September 18, 1999, Tod was united in marriage to Tiffaney Loomis. This marriage was blessed with one child, Tyler, the light of his life. Tod and Tiffaney shared 13 years of marriage, and remained great friends after the marriage ended. Tod resided in Livingston. Tod was employed at Gibson Guitar as Technical Director, where he worked for 21 years. He loved letting his creative side out at work and getting his hands dirty and working on the guitars himself whenever he could. Tod enjoyed, fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking, dirt bike riding, playing guitar, and most of all sharing in all of these activities with his son Tyler. He was an outdoorsman to the core, could spend an entire day on the river without any breaks, listening to the river flow, enjoying the views. That was his church. Tod was a kind man. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He had a way with people, a way with reading them and listening and picking strengths immediately. Blessed be his memory. Tod is survived by his: Son, Tyler Christensen Sister, Aimee Christensen Higbie and Brother-in-law, Colin Higbie Niece and Nephew, Brynn and Jack Higbie Step Mother, Mary Christensen Grandparents, Buster and Norma Halvorson Ex-wife, Tiffaney Loomis Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins Tod is preceded in death by his mother, Sue Stewart and father, Bill Christensen. Arrangements are under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
