Deanna G. Egeland

July 14, 1938 — April 26, 2022

Deanna Gail Egeland, 83, passed peacefully Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in the presence of her

loving family.

Deanna was born July 14, 1938, in Livingston, Montana, at the old Lott Hospital, the daughter

of Eunice and Frank Ebert. She received her education in Livingston and was a graduate

of Park High School, Class of 1956.

On May 25, 1956, the same day she graduated, she was united in marriage to Ted Egeland

at American Lutheran in Livingston. This marriage was blessed with 4 children,

Tim, Cindy, Toby and Teddi. Ted and Deanna shared 41 years of marriage until his passing in 1997.

While the kids were younger, mom sold Tupperware and baked many birthday and wedding cakes

She then started her career as a City Judge and Justice of the Peace in Park County for 30 years.

She found great joy in performing many weddings.  She never forgot anyone that she married.

Deanna enjoyed going camping especially at Pine Creek Campground with her son Toby.

She loved to bowl on league every Friday night.  She was a lifetime member with Girl Scouts,

and on the board of the Chemical Dependency Center. She also loved to play cribbage with

whoever would play with her especially at the Senior Citizen Center. She had tons of cookbooks

and recipes! She would write them down on anything she could find. One of her favorite things to

do was going for rides on Sunday afternoon and finding a place for a good burger.

Mom had a large family and many close friends that she cherished. In her last 3 years, she

was well cared for by her daughters, Cindy and Teddi. She always wanted to go back to

Livingston and live in her house that she loved so much.

Deanna is survived by her sister, Kendra (Andy) McDonnnell; son, Tim (Elaine) Egeland: daughters, Cindy

(Tom) Griffin, and Teddi (Jeff) Benson; daughter-in-law, Jackie Egeland; grandchildren, Brian (Heather)
