Franklin “Frank” Forrest Hallett, Sr., age 89, of Henderson, NV, and formerly of Livingston, MT, passed away on June 2, 2019, from complications of pneumonia.
Frank was born on March 30, 1930, in Kettle Falls, WA, the son of Raymond and Lucille (Freeman) Hallett. After his marriage to Dolores Doyle, he worked on the construction of an Army base in Fairbanks, Alaska. He then served an apprenticeship for a saw filer at the local sawmill in Kettle Falls, Washington, which led to his future career and relocation to Montana in 1962. He served as a saw filer for many different sawmills in western Montana and Idaho.
Frank enjoyed boating on the Columbia River, hunting, fishing, and camping all his life. He used his carpentry skills everywhere he lived, not only remodeling homes, but also building homes for his family in Kettle Falls, WA, and Livingston, MT. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Livingston.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, one sister, and son-in-law Samuel Shriver. He will be sadly missed by his wife of over 70 years, Dolores; daughters Linda Shriver, Lucille (John) Bishop, and son Frank, Jr, (Melanie) Hallett; grandchildren Kyle (Rosie) Shriver, Chad (Jenny) Bishop, Sarah (Prasad) Ginjupalli, Garrett Hallett, and Robin Hallett; great-grandchildren Gracien, Valiant, and Ethan Shriver and Elin and Oliver Bishop.
He will be missed beyond words by his family.
A graveside blessing will be held on Wed., Sept. 25 at Mountain View Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at Franzen- Davis by 11 A.M. to proceed to the cemetery.
