Victoria S. "Vicki" Zorn

February 6, 1924 ~ May 31, 2022 (age 98)

Obituary

Vicki Zorn, 98, passed away at home Tuesday, May 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Vicki was born Victoria Skochalas on February 6, 1924, in Arran, Saskatchewan, Canada, a small town in wheat farming country. While there, she taught herself to play both accordion and piano, ultimately playing and singing lead in a band at weddings and local dances. This was the beginning of her lifelong passion for music.

Vicki married and had a son, Russell, then moved east to Burlington, Ontario. She married her second husband, Bill Zorn, in 1950. In 1957 they migrated to the U.S., settling in California. From California, they moved to Montana, then Arizona, and finally Las Vegas where they remained until Bill’s death in 2000. Vicki then moved to Washington and later to Montana to be closer to her granddaughters. She lived at The Sherwood Apartments in Livingston until her passing on May 31, 2022, at the age of 98.

Vicki is survived by her son, Russell Maynard; granddaughters, Tracy Beattie and Dawn Johnson; six great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews in Canada.

Vicki will be missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held later. Please call 406-312-0691 or 406-224-0339 to attend.
