Leslie R. "Les" Tracy

November 24, 1953 ~ September 2, 2020 (age 66)

Leslie R. “Les” Tracy, 66, of Livingston, Montana passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Livingston HealthCare Hospital with the love of his wife at his side.

Les was born on November 24, 1953 in Craig, Colorado. Once he graduated high school, he joined the United States Air Force. He served with that branch of service for a couple of years and then transferred into the Army. He would serve an additional four years in the Army and then for several more in the Army Reserves.

Les worked and lived for several years in Billings. It was there he met and married Ruth Jones. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Nichole, Christopher and Benjamin. They would later separate.

Les moved to Livingston transferring management positions with Town Pump. He met his forever partner Darlene Gilman here and they have been inseparable since, living in beautiful Paradise Valley. The last job Les worked was as a service tech for Commercial Laundry in Bozeman.

Les was a true lover of the outdoors, he fished, hunted, and loved to hike. He had a true connection to the wilderness. In his younger days he would often be found on dirt tracks as a stockcar driver.

Les was a quiet soul, and we are glad that you have peace, even though many hearts are missing you.

Les is survived by his longtime partner, Darlene Gilman; his children, Nichole (Marc) Larson of Worden, MT, Christopher (Sahara) Tracy of Bridger, MT and Benjamin (Erin) Tracy of Billings, MT; Darlene’s children, Bruce (Christina) Gilman of Paradise Valley, MT, and Renelle (Tyler) Perkins of East Helena, MT; grandchildren, Zachary, Evan, Asher, Ava, Darian, Delana, Destany, Evelyn. Eric and Able. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Taylor Larson.

We will hold Les close in our hearts… a memorial will be at a later date.
